Lee Rigby killers ‘beaten up by drug baron in prison after gangster got sick of hearing jihadis chatting all night’

LEE Rigby's killers were beaten up by a drug baron in prison after he got sick of hearing jihadis chatting all night, the gangster's dad has claimed.

Drugs kingpin John Anslow allegedly battered Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale in a violent jail feud at high security Belmarsh prison.

The black country drugs baron is currently serving a 22-year jail term or orchestrating a coke and cannabis distribution network after evading capture for 439 days.

Anslow's dad, John Snr, told the Birmingham Mail, said: “All night and all day they were shouting. One each side of him.

"One tried to put it on him and came off worst. John got him on the floor and was throwing punches before the screws pulled him off.

"He gave it to him. He stood his ground and had a go back.”

He added: “They are the worst of the worst. I’d like to do to them what they did to Lee Rigby.”

A Ministry of Justice spokeswoman said such a confrontation would be "unlikely" but said it would be almost impossible to probe the claim without knowing the date of the alleged encounter.

Lee Rigby, 25, was returning to Woolwich barracks when he was butchered to death with knives and a meat cleaver in May 2013.

Adebolajo and Adebowale were both found guilty of murdering Rigby in December of that year.

Both killers are of Nigerian heritage and were raised as Christians before becoming involved in radical Islam.

Adebolajo, who's been branded Britain's most dangerous prisoner, was given a whole-life tariff. Adebowale was jailed for a minimum of 45 years.

He was transferred to Frankland Prison before moving to HM Prison, Wakefield, a few years ago - apparently prompted by the alleged punch-up.

John Snr, who now lives in London, described the strict regime at Belmarsh as a "joke".

“There was no sympathy (towards visitors)," he said.

“He is OK and half way through (his sentence). He can get out more and mix with the general prison population.”

In 2012 Anslow was convicted  while still in hiding of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs. His appeal over his long sentence three years later failed.
