Many people in the Muslim Community in Pensacola claim that they fear someone may retaliate against them. This comes days after a deadly shooting at NAS Pensacola in which three sailors were killed and eight others injured.
Here is the story: “‘Pain shared by everyone regardless of faith,’ Pensacola Muslim community speaks out,” by Amy Russo, WEAR, December 9, 2019.
PENSACOLA, Fla. (WEAR) — Many people in the Muslim Community in Pensacola fear someone may retaliate against them. This comes days after a deadly shooting at NAS Pensacola that claimed the lives of three sailors and injured eight people.
The shooter, Mohammed Alshamrani, is from Saudi Arabia and was a Muslim.
Is the “pain shared by everyone regardless of faith”? Even though the killer was a Muslim, intent on killing only Infidels? Isn’t it possible that the “pain” is felt more keenly by those who belong to the class of those targeted, than by those who belong to the same faith as that killer? Aren’t we all heartily sick of the way, after every Muslim terror attack, local Muslims insist that it is they who are afraid, they who need reassurance and sympathy – and too many of us fall for this victimization, choose to “share their pain,” and give them that quite unnecessary reassurance, unnecessary because almost never, after one of these atrocities, has there been a retaliatory attack against Muslims?
Authorities say there hasn’t been any credible threats to the Mosque or local Muslim community.
But that won’t keep the local Muslims from dwelling on their fears for their own safety, turning the event upside down so that it becomes one where we are to offer our thoughts and prayers to the Muslims who are, yet again, supposedly terrified of becoming victims of the haters and the haters and the islamophobes. It’s a worry that never materializes, but it keeps being brought up, lest we forget how imperiled are our Muslim brothers and sisters.
One of the victims killed, 19-year-old Mohammed Sameh Haitham, was a Muslim.
That has no bearing on the anti-Infidel intent of Mohammed Saeed Ashramani. If one of his victims happened to be a Muslim, he certainly did not intend it, and had he lived, would have much regretted it. He was out to kill as many Infidels as he could. The Muslim sailor killed was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, and his death has no bearing on our understanding of the terror attack.
Salma Ashmawi is with the Islamic Center of Northwest Florida.
She says the recent shooting at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard produced a suspect, but religion was never part of the conversation.
By that, Ashmawi means that the police, the FBI, and the mainstream media, have all been determined to avoid the obvious: that Ashramani was a Muslim. Not mentioning that fact, so as to make sure that the killer’s faith “was never part of the conversation,” testifies to the fear in the media and the security services of being labelled “islamophobic.” But we know, from Ashramani’s uncle, that the killer was a pious and observant Muslim. He would certainly have grown up, in Saudi Arabia, with schoolbooks full of antisemitic and anti-Christian hate. He would, as a pious Muslim attending a Wahhabi mosque, have been familiar with the 109 Qur’anic commands to Unbelievers to take part in violent Jihad, to fight, to kill, to smite at the necks of, to strike terror in the hearts of, Infidels. His religion — Islam — explains the killer’s act, and not naming Islam, forever the elephant in the room, merely makes those in the security services and the media, who presume to protect and instruct us, look foolish. After 36,000 terror attacks by Muslims since 9/11 alone, we have earned the right to freely discuss Islam, its texts and tenets, without fear of being labelled “islamophobes,” a word meant to shut down all islamocriticism, and therefore ought to be banished from our lexicon.
“I’m sorry the media highlights the faith being Muslim when something like that happens,” said Ashmawi.
Actually, having closely monitored ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS in the four days following the attack, I find Ashmawi’s comment bizarre, as there has been no “highlighting” of the killer’s faith being Muslim. Far from it. It was not until late on Sunday that the first mention was made of Ashramani having been a Muslim. There was a deliberate effort not to bring up his religion, though of course, given that his name was Mohammed Saeed Ashramani, that effort was certain to fail.
Teachers at the Mosque say the tragic news have [sic] affected the entire Pensacola Community and the pain is shared by everyone regardless of faith.
Yes, that is what the teachers at the mosque would say. But was the news quite as ‘tragic” to Pensacola’s Muslims as it was to the real victims of the attack, the Unbelievers? No doubt the Muslims were sorry that one of the killer’s victims turned out to be, inadvertently, a fellow Muslim, but are they quite so sorry about the Infidels who were killed or wounded? After all, if they are Muslims, the Qur’an teaches them that Infidels are “the most vile of created beings.” Why should they regret the deaths of those who are thus described? It would make no sense. What “pain” would pious Muslims “share” with Infidels mourning their own?
But much has been accomplished by the local Muslims. They have made themselves the objects of pity. It is they who “fear” retaliation, even though the police say there have been “no credible threats.” It is they who are full of sorrow that the media “highlights the faith being Muslim when something like that happens,” even though those in the mainstream media have gone out of their way to remain silent on the subject of Islam, and its possible relevance to the killer’s behavior.
The sorrow and the pity. Will we ever learn to behave decently to our Muslim brothers and sisters? We seem to have failed them yet again in Pensacola. Perhaps the next time something is done by someone, we will know better how to react. We can only hope.
Kesselman says
Attaching euphemistic terms like “Radical” or “Extremist” to Islam is an exercise of Western arrogance. These terms serve only to mislead us into a false sense of security by thinking, “If we can just get rid of the bad apples, the World can then live in peace with this great and noble religion.”
mortimer says
Agree with Kesselman that the term ‘radical’ is not well understood generally as a legit term meaning ‘foundational’. A much more comprehensible term would be ‘TRADITIONAL’ or ‘MOST TRADITIONAL’. Example:
“The radical Islamism that has been loosed in Syria and Iraq (the ISIS caliphate) is not a deviation or a perversion of an allegedly true Islam, whose orientation is purely spiritual and religious. In fact, it is the MOST TRADITIONAL form of Islam.” – Fr. Henri Boulad SJ.
Father Boulad has clarified this perfectly for the uninformed:
In short, we may say that RADICAL ISLAM IS THE MOST TRADITIONAL FORM OF ISLAM.
James Lincoln says
mortimer says,
“In short, we may say that RADICAL ISLAM IS THE MOST TRADITIONAL FORM OF ISLAM.”
Very well stated, my compliments.
Ray Jarman says
The history of Islam is nothing more than examples of the cruelty that man can inflict upon other men as Robert Spencer has so eloquently highlights in “The History of Jihad” where from the beginning to the present day Muslims have been on a killing spree and still are.
Rufolino says
A striking summation, Ray.
Lilith Wept says
I agree. But a least it IS associating Islam and terrorism….and I also agree it gives the mistaken idea that it’s somehow a few individual moslems that are the problem, when it’s the Islamic ideology that is the problem and directly responsible for the violence and terrorism.
I mean, Mohammed himself said “ I have been made victorious through terror” ….How his religion can be called “ the religion of peace “ is laughable!
Islam is institutionalized terrorism against non moslems. And how can anyone believe that this violence against kafir be “ radical or extreme” when it’s commanded by both Allah and Mohammed in the Koran over 109 times?
It’s this level of blindness that makes me afraid for our future.
The important question is What can we do to make politicians acknowledge that Islam is inherently violent ….and that Islam IS the problem ?
It’s awesome that more Americans are becoming aware of the violence in Islam but how do we take that and make changes in the way islammis treated?
We need to get people out to vote for candidates that are anti Islam, who will stand up to CAIRs bullying and say that it’s islam that is the problem and Islam promotes terrorism.
Ray Jarman says
Lilith Wept,
You answered your own question. At the polls is where we can change things but it can be difficult. I made a remark about Islamic terrorism at a local Washington GOP meeting and even there, I have been made persona non grata except they still want me to contribute.
Mark Spahn (West Seneca, NY) says
Mortimer suggests that “radical” might better be replaced with TRADITIONAL or MOST TRADITIONAL. An even better (because more precise) term is ORTHODOX; see (it’s short)

Why? Do they feel guilty about something? Nope. They just want to play their fake “pity” card. But I wonder if and when there will be any real “backlash.” What will it take to wake us up, really?
Peter35 says
Look to Europe, where they’ve had problems with moslems for decades now, and have they woken up?
Quite the opposite, Europe slides deeper into islamification every day, while stupidly vowing to assimilate their third-world ‘guests’ who have not the slightest intention of assimilating.
In any case, over their 1400 year existence, moslems have wandered into 56 countries, and never have they assimilated—all 56 countries have become islamic.
And now they have infested Europe…….?
Savvy Kafir says
No free society is safe as long as it has Muslims living & breeding within it. That simple fact has to guide our actions.
But waking people up to that reality is unbelievably difficult, because many are trying so very hard to avoid seeing it, and because the mainstream media, as well as many politicians & bureaucrats, and quite a few PC (and Muslim) nonprofit organizations, are working very hard to whitewash Islam, and to shame anyone who dares to be critical of it.
But I’m still confident that more & more people will wake up, before it’s too late. Polls in various European countries show that a surprisingly large percentage of people are concerned about Islam & Muslim immigrants, in spite of all the whitewashing.
gravenimage says
We have to keep at waking people up to the threat of Islam.

This is the same Response to “MUSLIM FEAR OF RETALIATION” that Drove the Pro-Muslim, President Bush, to warn Americans NOT TO BLAME MUSLIMS.
This is the Script that Muslims follow, after they commit an atrocity in a Non-Muslim Country. I have NEVER heard President Trump, jumping to the defense of the “Religion of Peace” Followers & pray that it remains SO.
NO, I do not believe that People of All Faiths share in this “PAIN” of the Loss of Life of Americans. We were treated to the “Pain” that Muslims felt, after9/11. Muslims in the Non-Country of Palestine, Danced in the Streets, Muslims at the infamous Brooklyn Mosque in NYC, Cheered, etc.
James Lincoln says
Shirley Ann says,
“I have NEVER heard President Trump, jumping to the defense of the “Religion of Peace” Followers…”
And I sincerely doubt that we ever will.
After Pres. Trump wins his reelection in 2020, taking on the problems created by islam in the United States should be a TOP priority…
gfmucci says
The reason why there has been no “backlash” (their fears are fake) is because they have done such a great job of threatening and demonizing anyone in this nation who dares say a bad word about Muslims or islam, however violent and out of control they may become.
LB says
That’s only one part of the reason. The other part is that Westerners (people raised in Judeo-Christian society) are generally well behaved and nice (maybe too nice for their own good) to retaliate in any manner. A complete contrast to muslims (raised in islamic countries) who only require an unconfirmed “blasphemy” rumor (let alone mass murder) to rally a huge lynch mob and start terrorizing any and all non-muslims among them.
gravenimage says
Agreed, LB.
James Lincoln says
LB,
Agree – and it leaves Westerners at a severe disadvantage…
Savvy Kafir says
Yes, it does. We need far more people in the West who embrace the fighting spirit, and who recognize Islam & Muslims as the enemy.

Muslims PROJECT a MIRROR IMAGE of jihad upon the VICTIMS of jihad
Such psychological PROJECTION by Muslims is the act or technique of defending oneself against the accusation of immature, neurotic or anti-social impulses by denying their existence in oneself, while attributing them to ‘others’. For example, a person who is rude may accuse other people of being rude when they do not meet his arrogant demands.
Muslims PROJECT upon the dirty kufaar the CANONICAL Islamic teaching of REVENGE KILLING (something that is not a part of our culture based on the rule of law, rehabilitation and forgiveness) and the very HATRED and HOSTILITY that all Muslims are required to practice against the dirty, disbelieving KAFIRS and the wrong-worshipping MUSHRIKEEN. Muslims do not really understand the Golden Rule, because it is NOT in their system. Allah left the GR out of Islam. Allah DECREED that Muslims should TAKE REVENGE. Muslims assume that the KAFIRS have the same teaching … this is psychological PROJECTION by the Muslims.
-K.11.173 “Believers, RETALIATION is decreed for you in BLOODSHED.”
-K.2.178 “O you who believe! RETALIATION is prescribed for you in the matter of the slain.”
– K.5:33 “The REPRISAL against those who wage war on Allah and His Messenger, and go about the earth corrupting it, is that they should be killed or crucified, or have their alternate hands and feet cut off, or be banished from the land.” Waging war against Allah is rejecting Him.”–Tafsir of Imam al-Bukhari
-Imam AbdulLatif ibn AbdurRahman rahimullah said, “It is not possible for someone to realize Tawheed and act upon it, and yet not be HOSTILE against the mushrikeen. So anyone who isn’t HOSTILE against the mushrikeen, then it can’t be said that he acts upon Tawheed, nor that he realizes it.” [ad-Durar as-Saniyyah 8/167]
Muslims accuse the dirty kafirs of plotting against Muslims after Muslims are caught murderously plotting against the kafirs.

‘One of the victims killed, 19-year-old Mohammed Sameh Haitham, was a Muslim’ … I’ve thought about that. Surely, the killer knew this man because they had been training together. Which begs the question why was he targeted? Was he a Muslim in name only? Was he aware of their radicalism? There could be an interesting story here that has not been covered.
gravenimage says
rubiconcrest, Haitham was not Saudi and was not in the same program. I doubt that Alshamrani knew he was Muslim.

Besides, any pious Muslim victims of Jihad are assumed to go straight to paradise–and any lax Muslims are considered to be as worthy of death as Infidels.
PRCS says
Like going to college.
Math majors have to take classes which have nothing to do with math: in the same classroom as the engineering majors, computer programmers, etc.who must also so so.
I don’t know how long the three victims and Alshamrani were in the training pipeline, or what classroom was involved.
But I would not be in the least surprised that the two Muslims knew the other was a Muslim.

“He would, as a pious Muslim attending a Wahhabi mosque, have been familiar with the 109 Qur’anic commands to Unbelievers to take part in violent Jihad, to fight, to kill, to smite at the necks of, to strike terror in the hearts of, Infidels.”
Otherwise, all true.
Rarely says
When jihad-type events happen in the name of islam the local muslim community would be wise to align themselves with the non-muslim community and denounce the perpetrator and the crime unequivocally and with rage. If they have been placed in jeopardy it is by the perpetrator and his crime and not by some imaginary vigilante group out to exact revenge upon the innocent. By not denouncing the act and actor the implication is unavoidably that they agree with and/or support the act and simply fear a backlash.
When anyone commits a heinous act in the name of his/her religion it would be wise and proper for the co-religionists to denounce the act and actor unless the act is that of an obviously demented individual and is clearly against the religion’s teachings. The reaction of the muslim community to 9/11, for example, was absolutely deafening in its silence. The implication? We’re glad it happened. Now that certainly wasn’t the case but why not be clear and unequivocal? If it does outrage you…say so or some people may get the wrong idea.
Where the act is not done in the name of the religion an entirely different set of rules apply. A muslim committing a bank robbery and killing a few people in the process is no reflection on muslims any more than if he were a Catholic it wouldn’t reflect on Catholicism. Does anyone know the religions of Bonny and Clyde? How about Jeffrey Dahmer? Irrelevant.
Wellington says
“…the local Muslim community would be wise….”
Stop right there because you’re expecting too much from Mo’s followers. Wisdom and Islam are as opposed to one another as are freedom and Islam.
The silver lining in this dark cloud is that, how ironic, the greatest enemy of Islam is—Islam. Muzzies can’t help revealing how awful and stupid their belief system is. They do so on a daily basis. Unfortunately, way too many non-Muslims don’t take note of this due to whatever indefensible reason.
James Lincoln says
Wellington,
You are correct. Muslims just cannot help themselves – even if it means ultimately hurting their Jihad “cause”.
My father once told me years ago that for Muslims a pint of blood is a daily meal.
He was correct.
Wellington says
Your father surely was, James, so kudos to him.
James Lincoln says
Wellington,
I believe that you mentioned on a previous post that your father was a surgeon.
Interestingly, my father was also a physician. He started a residency in general surgery but had to switch to family practice due to a latex allergy.
He was a wonderful father, a very wise man, and an exceptionally talented physician.
I miss him greatly.

But if they want to gain convertd, do they not see that they make Islam look vile by doing vile things in its name ?
The vile behaviour of predatory paedophiles in the RC clergy has brought well-merited hatred upon the CC – and rightly, because such a betrayal of trust is an unspeakable crime.
Do not Muslims understand that their hideous activities in the name of Islam make it hateful & repulsive ?
