The forgotten truth is that it was Muslim Arabs who were the first slave traders, and black slavery by Muslims in several African countries continues to this day. But the plight of black African slaves is ignored by progressives, including Ilhan Omar, who was born in Somalia. Rather than call out black slavery and the Arab Muslim racism and teachings of the Qur’an and Muhammad that support it, Omar prefers to attack Israel as an apartheid state that deserves Boycotts, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS). (Meanwhile, for a quick, telling history lesson on how far Israeli military agents went to smuggle and rescue thousands of black Ethiopian Jews out of jihad-ravaged Sudanese refugee camps and bring them to their homeland Israel, watch on Netflix The Red Sea Diving Resort.)
“The Arab slave trade was characterized by appalling violence, castration, and rape. The men were systematically castrated to prevent them from reproducing and becoming a stock. This inhumane practice resulted in a high death rate: six out of 10 people who were mutilated died from their wounds in castration centers. The Arab slave trade also targeted African women and girls, who were captured and deported for use as sex slaves.”
Western anti-racism charlatans, Islamic supremacists whose obsession is “Islamophobia,” and Black Lives Matter continue to ignore the suffering of black slaves still being held by Muslim Arabs. In this context, black lives don’t matter to them.
“Slavery Prevalent in Africa 400 Years After Transatlantic Trade Began,” by Amy Furr, Breitbart, August 8, 2019:
Africa currently has the highest prevalency of modern-day slavery, four hundred years since the transaltantic [sic] slave trade began during the 15th century.
Reports state that seven out of every 1,000 Africans are victims of the terrible practice. Slavery is defined as “situations of exploitation that a person cannot refuse or leave because of threats, violence, coercion, deception, and/or abuse of power,” in a report by the by human rights group Walk Free Foundation and the International Labour Office.
In 2017, the Global Slavery Index listed Eritrea, Burundi, the Central African Republic, Mauritania, and South Sudan on its list of the 10 countries with the highest prevalance of slavery.
The website states:
It is a confronting reality that even in the present day, men, women and children all over the world remain victims of modern slavery. They are bought and sold in public markets, forced to marry against their will and provide labour under the guise of “marriage,” forced to work inside clandestine factories on the promise of a salary that is often withheld, or on fishing boats where men and boys toil under threats of violence. They are forced to work on construction sites, in stores, on farms, or in homes as maids. Labour extracted through force, coercion, or threats produces some of the food we eat, the clothes we wear, and the footballs we kick. The minerals that men, women, and children have been made to extract from mines find their way into cosmetics, electronics, and cars, among many other products.
Last week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Ghana to mark its “Year of the Return” in observance of the 400th anniversary of the first African slaves being brought to the United States.
“At Cape Coast Castle we stood before The Door of No Return, where countless millions caught their last glimpse of Africa before they were shipped to a life of enslavement,” Pelosi commented.
Reports state that the African continent received global attention in recent years after videos surfaced online allegedly showing modern “slave markets” in Libya where people were auctioned off in garages and public squares…..

They attack anyone who tries to fight the slave trade on the African continent because it’s Muslim. If the realities of African slavery, historical and current, were truly understood there would go the basis they claim for their attacks on any of the Founders who owned slaves. There would go their claim that white Westerners are the only people guilty of enslavement.

christianblood has said this sort of thing before. Firstly, of course, he is being disingenuous in claiming that Islamic slavery is practiced only in Libya–in fact, it is grimly common in Sudan and Mauritania. In the latter country a full 20% of the population is enslaved.
Then, his constant claim that the US and NATO installed Jihadists in Libya is ludicrous–this was part of the Sunni “Arab Spring”, that swept across the Levant and Mahgreb.
Then, it is not true that Jihad is new to Libya, in any case–Qaddafi *himself* was a Jihadist. christianblood has regularly refused to condemn the Lockerbie Jihad terror attack, despite being asked to do so scores of times at this point. In light of this, it is obvious that he supports this Jihad attack on innocent Infidels.

Are you denying that US and Nato supported the jihadists that were fighting Qaddafi in the name of protecting civilians in the Libyan city of Benghazi, that US/Nato imposed a no-fly-zone on Libya and provided military, intelligence as well as air-cover to the jihadists that overthrew and eventually murdered Qaddafi and his sons? The Libyan civil war was from the beginning an Islamist insurrection spear-headed by the Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda-affiliated jihadist groups in Benghazi and other parts of Eastern Libya and without the quick support of the US and Nato, including the No-Fly-Zone that declared in Eastern Libya by the US and Nato that insurrection would have been immediately crushed by Qaddafi and his forces!

Actually, there were also slave markets in the Islamic State. Besides, christianblood’s implication that slavery is just fine so long as the slave trading is done privately or on-line is just bizarre.
And no–slavery is *illegal* in the West–his claim that we created slavery in Libya is grotesque.

Well, this is largely true–it was part of the Islamic resurgence of the “Arab Spring”, where even existing Islamic countries were considered to be not Islamic enough. This is a standard part of Islam–the claim that this was done by the West is ludicrous.
Yes, there were some in the West who mistook this as a “freedom movement” and hoped it would lead to increased liberty in Dar-al-Islam–but this was of course not the case.
And once again–he has done this at least a dozen times now–christianblood refuses to say any anything critical about the Jihad terror attack of Lockerbie–I suppose this is because the victims were ‘filthy Infidels’.

BTW, why is the West always choosing to support, fund and arm murderous Islamic jihadist groups like ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Al-Nusra, FSA and many others over the more reasonable secular Arab leaders like Mubarak, Qaddafi, Saddam and Assad??????????
This is one of the extremely outrageous things that I will never understand about the West!!!

Your question, in addition to being based on blatant lies (who was it that waged war on al-qaeda and ended up ending bin Laden? Who was it that ended ISIS? Certainly not your precious little jihadi-empowering Russians), does nothing to distract from my assertion: you claim “reasonable secular Arab leaders like Mubarak, Qaddafi, Saddam and Assad”? Tyrants and terrorist supporters, and some both.. Of course, seeing you defending tyrannical, barbaric regimes should come as no surprises to anyone minimally acquainted with your psoting history. Now, a couple of questions for you: why did you started sucking up to Turkey as soon as they started buying weapons from you, Russians? Where’s your indignation at Russia helping Turkey developing a nuclear program? Why do you defend islamic terrorism-sponsoring states, their tyrant rulers and islamic terror groups? Why do you cheer on the murder of children? Why do you refuse to deny that the US ended ISIS?

I don’t believe there is a day goes by in the U.S. that we are not reminded of slavery. There is no way we can not get away from being reminded of it over and over and over …. and over and over. When can we move on?
Martin says
I was reminded of America’s horrible history of slavery by a Libyan representative (who spoke excellent English) I met at a corner shop in Brussels a few weeks ago during a heatwave. As I drank a cold beer I told the Libyan that he was a total hypocrite to criticise past American slavery when I can by a black Muslim from a brown Muslim for $400 in Tripoli today (so much for the so-called Muslim “brotherhood”). He got all offended, claiming at first that it wasn’t true, and when I told him about the videos that I had seen of them being sold he said, “how do you know it’s Muslims who are doing this?” I said that it sure ain’t Christians or Jews selling Muslims to other Muslims in Tripoli. He then went into conspiracy theory mode which is typical of Muslims I have met all over the world, it’s the belief that everything wrong in the Muslim world is the fault of the Jews or Americans. I told him that these conspiracy theories are for children and fools and that Muslims love them so they can blame others for the rotten mess of the Muslim world that they made.
He didn’t like it when I went on to tell him my thoughts on Islam while drinking a second, one euro, 50cl. can, of cold Polish beer that I had bought from his friend, the British-Pakistani shopkeeper.
I will give the Libyan, who was my age (late 50’s), some credit: he didn’t attack me but that was probably because he could tell that I knew how to throw a punch and how to take one.

Seems about right for his part of the world:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree/article/0dd0ab91-145a-4137-bf87-28d0498c8d56
In January last year, Russia’s domestic violence laws were changed. Some forms of violence were decriminalised, first by the lower parliament, known as the Duma, then endorsed by President Putin.
Now, if you batter your wife – or indeed any family member – but not severely enough to hospitalise them, and it’s your first recorded offence, you no longer go to prison for two years, as was previously the law. Instead, you’ll receive a fine of anything between 5 and 30,000 rubles (around £375), or up to 15 days in prison. In addition, some women are being forced to pay the fines handed down to their abusers, with unpaid fines often taken from shared bank accounts.
(…)
Critics fear the introduction of ‘the slapping law’ has already normalised increased levels of violence against women, with the mayor of Russia’s fourth-largest city reporting a dramatic uptick in incidents since the change.
Indeed, it’s estimated that more than 600 Russian women are killed a month in their own homes, and that up to 36,000 women a day are being abused. And for some who do want to leave, the story doesn’t end with the brief sanctuary of a refuge, as it has for Veronika. In December last year, 34-year-old Maxim Gribanov battered his common-law wife, Anastasia Ovsiannikova, so hard she fell into a coma and died. He now faces up to 15 years in prison.
Meanwhile, those who fight back may find themselves with prison sentences, like Natalia Markelova, who claims to have killed her husband in self-defence, and was sentenced to eight years in prison.
Many Russian MPs argue the new law protects the family unit – it stops the police or the law interfering in private matters between a husband and wife. It’s known as the ‘slapping law’, and fuelled by a return to traditionalism spearheaded by the Orthodox Church under Putin in his third term.
In Russia, an estimated (because it’s under-reported so actual numbers are hard to get)12000-14000 women die per year from domestic violence alone. In the US? 2017’s numbers read 1527. Keep the following in mind: the US has more than twice the population of Russia.

“You are a headless liar, propagandizing for the establishment and for the globalist status quo!”
I must be the worst propagandist ever, seeing how I’m “propagandizing” against the so-called “globalist status quo”. One needs only to ask which of us is supportive of Trump – you certainly aren’t – or which one of us is supportive of the thieving, kleptocrat running Russia – that would be you.
“I wouldn’t waste time in answering your senseless ramblings and lies! The Facts are there and anyone can see them!”
Meaning that you won’t provide evidence for your claims, which was what I asked and that you’re calling “senseless ramblings and lies”. One would think that scepticism was a good thing, but if I don’t swallow your narrative and, instad, ask for evidence than I’m “lying”. Some how…
Like I said, you don’t offer any sort of evidence to back your stats – not even from the usual anti-US proaganda rags you usually keep at hand. In any case, let’s pretend all the BS you’re vomiting – for the nth time, since you have the habit of copy/pasting spam – is true – even though I debunked in the past with links to official stats and numbers (I even compared it to Russia’s stats and, shocker – you didn’t like the comparison). What does that have to do with the topic at hand? Nothing. Zilch. Nada. You simply saw a trigger – someone speaking good of America – and copy/pasted from your ITTT response folder. You never let an opportunity to speak ill of America, or an opportunnity to defend murderous jhadis, go to waste, do you?…
BTW, do you know that Russia, with less than half the population of the United States, has nearly ten times more women murdered due to domestic violence alone? Do you not find that revolting?

US is indeed a burning hellhole and its only going to get worse as the time goes! As I write this, bullets are flying in Philadelphia and at least six police officers are wounded in the fire fight!

Unsurprisingly, the perpetrator turns out to have been a pious Muslim:

Now that christianblood knows that this was Jihad, and not what he pretends is the actions of ordinary Americans, will he continue to condemn this? I would not count on it…

Depends. Is the shooter sunni or shia?
Sunni – “RAW! RAW! AMERICA! SAUDI ARABIA! WAHABI TAKFIRS! 9/11!!! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE”
Shia – “shias are peace loving, this is fake news by the deep state globalist CIA Mossad propaganda machine trying to demonize Iran! Do your research! Wake up sheeple!”

Atlantic Slave Trade v. Muslim Slave Trade
Which one lasted longer, enslaved more, was responsible for the deaths of more by huge factors, was never voluntarily ceased, and continues to exist to today?

Sherri Lynch says
Seems unbelievable but I understand there are more slaves now than ever before, but much of it is done in secret. Many are children. Many are sex slaves. I’m hearing horror stories of people having organs taken while still alive (with no pain killer) What happened in the past was horrible, but no one is alive who was responsible for that. We need to elect wise people who will put their animosity aside and concentrate on what can be done now. We need to elect people who are interested in doing the job for which they were elected. We need to stop electing people who have no respect for the law.

African slavery is a huge market in Libya, and not many media outlets report on that
CogitoErgoSum says
No, they are too busy reminding us that once upon a time there were slaves in the United States. We ended slavery here over 150 years ago. We fought a war to do it. People suffered and died fighting to end it. My great-grandfather joined the U.S. army when he was 16 years old to fight against slavery. He never owned a slave in his life. I admit he was no great war hero. He spent some time in a Confederate POW camp for part of the war and when he was released he had to pay the army for the gun the enemy took from him. Then he got sick and was given leave for several months and then when he came back (voluntarily) he was injured in a battle that left him partially disabled for the rest of his life. No, he was no hero … just another “racist” whose “white privilege” descendants now need to pay reparations for what he did. It’s disgusting to me what Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats keep pushing in the media.

CogitoErgoSum says
He was one of roughly 2.5 million such men who served in the Union army during the American Civil War … though people like Pelosi purposely choose to forget them. She finds it better to remember the taking of slaves instead of the freeing of them.

CES
Would you estimate that of the Union forces, between 1and 2% of that figure we’re killed fighting for freeing others?
I respect your family heritage, and appreciate you for standing by it and carrying the inspiration onward.
I too have much family history with gallantry while fighting in the face of the enemy over the generations, and this is why I know our fight isn’t strictly “verbal” !
CogitoErgoSum says
Crusader, figures I’ve seen show about 2.4% of the total U.S. population died as a result of the Civil War (counting both North and South). Direct combat casualties for the Union were about 141,000 which, out of 2.5 million in the U.S. military between 1861-65, gives me about 5.5% but if we count all deaths on the Union side (including from disease, accidents, etc.) the number of deaths is roughly 314,000 or 14.5%. I’m being conservative with those figures too — which are slightly larger according to Wikipedia.
So, I’d say about 5.5% of the Union soldiers died in direct combat and about another 9% of them died from other causes.
Kepha says
@Cogito: That’s the story of many white American families. Then there are the numbers of people who came because the USA needed people to replace the three hundred thousand Yankees dead in southern dust and comparable number of Sothrons; people who came too late to have ever profited from slavery. And I am absolutely positive that Pelosi did not suggest to her Ghanaian hosts that they and their neighbors pony up to pay the descendants of people their ancestors captured and sold.
Ah, African-AMerican Islam, which fobs off the Autobiography of the miserable Malcolm X as a classic; which convinces a borderline idiot pugilist to exchange the name of an abolitionist for that of a red-haired, freckle-faced, long-nosed Albanian adventurer who seized Egypt in order to control the slave trade from the Sudan!

I have read that Mauritania while denying it, practices slavery openly. One of the effects of Hillary Clinton’s attack on Libya was to disintegrate the government of Libya. Having accomplished that, there is no central government and various warlords hold certain territories where slave markets are openly operating. After Hillary Clinton caused Kadafy’s death she said, laughingly, “We came, we saw, he died.”. I did not see the humor in it.
winoceros says
The fact that having a vacuum in Libya politically caused Muslims to enslave other Muslims openly, is not the fault of the Americans. It is the fault of Islam.

Carolyne says
Indeed it is the fault of the Muslims but those Tomahawk missiles helped make it possble. I personally think that the US does not have the responsibility .of stopping civil unrest in Muslim countries. I think it is none of our business. Let them kill each other. There is not one country where our “Nation building” has been successful. Iraq is certainly worse off than it was under Sadam Hussein.
He at least allowed large communities of Christians to live in peace. I do not condone invading a country and killing it’s leader. The same could happen to us. I say let the barbarians duke it out with each other unless and until it affects the US. I also believe that controlling a gang of rioting Muslims calls for harsh measures. Wasting several million dollars building a gas station in Iraq is idiotic when our own infrastructure is falling apart.
Walter Sieruk says
On the topic of the real spirit of Islam toward black people, two Christians who are also authors revealed in the book about the prophet and founder of Islam, Muhammad, the person who all Muslims greatly admire and view and a perfect example for them to emulate was man that “He personally owned two ‘black slaves….he endorsed sex slavery as a gift from Allah.. In the every next page of that same book I also informs the reader that “Islam had enslaved more people than any other culture.” [1]
Likewise , a scholar on Islam who is an Arab woman and speakers and reads Arabic and uses to live in one the those countries on the Middle East had exposes in her book that the prophet of Islam ,Muhammad referred to Blacks as “ ‘raisin heads’ several time in the hadith [1:663:9:256]”Her book also reveals that “Throughout the hadith blacks are also referred to as abeds, which means ‘black in Arabic and is also synonymous with the word “slave’ and filth.” In fact ,Arab Muslims have enslaved blacks for 1,400 years and the Black slave trade iss till thriving in Sudan and Mauritania.” Further in her same book the author reveals that “Most interesting, though, is the even though black slavery by Muslims began long ago , almost no descends of those slaves are alive today in the Muslim world. Why is there no black culture in the Middle East ? Most slaves were either killed or died from being worked to death.” [2]

Herschel Ben Avraham says
History records that the Arabs, shortly after the appearance of Mohammed and the birth of Islam in 672 AD, begun their invasion out of the Arabian Peninsula. Africa was only one of several global locations that was brutalized by the sword of Arabia. Destruction, subjugation and genocide followed every invasion. Today, there is an Arab/Muslim Empire extending all the way from the western shores of Africa to the Indian subcontinent. The barbaric practice of burning villages, breaking up families, rape and the selling of human beings like cattle is recorded by history. It continues to this day. Darfur and Libya are some of the recent examples. Arabs who in general have lighter skin, hold a racist attitude toward blacks. It is not surprising that large numbers of blacks from Eritrea, Sudan and Somalia etc., risk a long, arduous and dangerous journey across the Sinai desert attempting to enter Israel. Today. There are about fifty-five thousands in Israel, the land Omar and Rashida Tlaib call racist. It is clear, that this is all a ploy to divert attention from the crimes committed day in, day out by Arab Muslim regimes which they deliberately ignore. Equally reprehensible is that Nancy Pelosi and other so called “progressives” are collaborating with Omar and her kind in this deception and lies. What they are doing is nothing less than collaboraring with America’s enemies, both external and internal to undermine social sability and thus weaken the U.S. Let’s remember that Ilhan Omar and the likes of Louis Farakhan, leader of the Nation of Islam, are affiliated with the Muslim Brothood, a violent ultra-fanatic Jihadi movement, steeped in an exclusivist, supremacist racist and genocidal ideology that seeks to impose its will on the western world.

My older sister who recently passed away actually was once acquainted with a woman who had been a slave. She lived in a cabin on what had been a plantation. Three times each day, the owners of the property would take her food to her. When my sister was visiting she would go with them to take her food. This woman did not want to leave. She had been there as a child during the civil war. My sister was 89 when she died last year and she was a young teen when this happened. This occurred near the small town of Pembrook GA, near Savannah. I was told their was great affection between the old woman and the family caring for her.

Sorry about the loss of your sister, Carolyne.
I’m sure your story is true–there sometimes was affection between slaves and masters in the US.
This still does not make slavery a good thing, though.

The USA should not trade with nations where slavery is continuing. The truth is that the Arab slave trade began 1000 yeras before the Trans Atlantic slave trade. Islam still condones slavery. Ask Boko Haram.
Families from Morrocco and West Africa continue the practice. What a shame!

My son wrote about black Slavery in Islam, at school, when it was ‘Black History Month’, and got suspended for 2 weeks. (at first, the school wanted to expell him)
As a white man, I am embarrassed that whites had (black) slaves in the past… but its not my fault, or the fault of white people over the past 200 years.
We constantly have it thrown in our faces, how the white man had black slaves…but usually, those who bleat on about it, never mention that whites also fought to outlaw it.
My friends (of non-White origin) agree with me, that black Slavery in Islam should be highlighted at any given opportunity… and schools are a very good place to start.
ALL SLAVERY IS A CRIME, and should be abolished.

We’re all slaves. Here in the UN Globo petri-dish of Canuckistan (formerly known as Canada) we have to bust our asses until mid-June for “Tax Freedom Day”. Moreover, once the next six months earnings is yours, it is again taxed, COMPOUNDED by aditional levies and then taxed again.
And then there’s the unconscionable things done with your tax money. (read labour, blood, sweat and tears)
I feel like a slave.

But if you believe this makes you a slave in the true sense of the word, then you are sadly ignorant of the full horrors of that institution.
