It is good to see the feds get one right for a change, and correct the outrageous mishandling of this case by New Mexico authorities.
“Federal Grand Jury Indicts NM Compound Suspects, Alleges They Planned Terror Attacks,” Breaking 911, September 11, 2018:
ALBUQUERQUE – A federal grand jury sitting in Albuquerque, N.M., has indicted Jany Leveille, 35, Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, 40, Hujrah Wahhaj, 37, Subhanah Wahhaj, 35, and Lucas Morton, 40, on firearms and conspiracy charges.
The indictment, which was filed this afternoon, charges the five residents of a compound in Amalia, in Taos County, N.M., with conspiring knowingly to provide an alien illegally and unlawfully in the United States, possession of firearms and ammunition. The indictment also charges Leveille, a Haitian national illegally and unlawfully in the United States, with possession of firearms and ammunition.
The conspiracy charge alleges that the defendants conspired to provide Leveille, an alien unlawfully in the United States, with firearms and ammunition from at least Nov. 2017 through Aug. 2018. The indictment alleges that, as part of the conspiracy, the defendants transported firearms and ammunition from Georgia to New Mexico in Dec. 2017. The indictment further alleges that, between Dec. 2017 and Aug. 2018, the defendants established a training camp and firing range in Taos County, where they stored firearms and ammunition and engaged in firearms and tactical training as part of their common plan to prepare for violent attacks on government, military, educational, and financial institutions….

RS, I continue to suggest the most likely reason for the state prosecutor missing a deadline is to escape the terrific cost for prosecution, defense, appeals, court time, transcripts, experts and all the other millions of dollars out of the state budget to prosecute 5 defendants. Unless the prosecutor’s office is incredibly inept, missing any deadline that is fatal to a prosecution is to me unthinkable. This case involves murder, conspiracy child abuse and neglect, kidnapping, terrorism, firearms and one can only guess how many other issues against 5 defendants, who would all demand and receive defense and appeals at state expense. If the state could prosecute this case for less than $15,000,000 total by the time it is concluded, a miracle would take place.
If this kind of case were to arise where I am, I can see my state and local prosecutors doing their best to pass it to the federal prosecutors who have essentially unlimited money. I have had a similar situation happen in my practice against a man who stole more than $300,000 from people who trusted him, my clients, and the local prosecutor took his time trying to let the statute of limitations run before acting. Didn’t work. Two felony convictions on pleas of guilty in state and federal court. Prison and restitution to follow. We do now have a different prosecutor.

There was a dead child dug up there. Guess it could not manage the sex with those men

JRW, you are in my opinion absolutely correct. That is why murder, conspiracy and child abuse are included in my list of potential issues. The death of the child in the course of terrorist activity is both a civil rights killing and a terrorist act under federal law. IF the federal prosecutor does conduct a diligent prosecution the defendants will face the correct punishment without bankrupting the state for duplicate cases. Much of the purpose of the mulsim invasion is to overwhelm and bankrupt our legal system so that the invaders can run wild.

If you lived here in NM, you would know that the level of ignorance and incompetence tops the chart of any other state. Please believe me when I tell you that the state level prosecutor didn’t know his butt from his elbow..this sort of thing happens daily here in NM. The state is a disgrace to the union for this and a myriad of other reasons.
Frank Anderson says
I always defer and bow in respect to those who know more about a subject than I do. That is one of the ways I learn. The shortfalls of the local people in charge call for others to take lawful action to change the situation. Have you considered a conversation with the NM state bar for guidance? I suggest that you take a few hours to search and read the stories and accounts about FORMER prosecutor Mike Nifong of North Carolina’s Duke Lacrosse Players’ infamy. Without competent prosecutors there can be no legal system. Missing a deadline that results in the dismissal of a serious case deserves inquiry.

Why are they allowed to conceal themselves with those sheets?

Now, was that so hard?
Just make sure they get more than a slap on the wrist.

I am guessing that the grand leaders, CAIR and the father Siraj Whaheva, who is connected to the black panthers, Iranians, Nation of Islam and Linda Sasour, let the government pick some public defenders for their brothers in arms. These jihadis have connections within the highest circles of Muslims in the USA, but I am guessing they all distance themselves at this point to make this look like it was the work of 5 cases of well timed mental illness.
Norger says
It will be interesting to see if Wahhaj senior, CAIR etc. simply let these 5 hang out to dry.
Sherry says
GREAT!!! I hope they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Don’t allow CAIR or any of those misfits interfere. They should be run out of the USA for their treasonous efforts to destroy our country.

These “refugees” need to be deported and their passports confiscated. They are not welcome in the United States.

WOW ! Three of the 5 Jihadis appear to be women. Black women doing the Hijab look ridiculous.
